The fascination of this racing series lies in the unique mix of vehicles that can be seen competing live on the racetrack rather than viewed in some musty museum. Fans can look forward to a unique line-up that includes the cute Steyr Puch 650 TR, the gaudy Fiat Abarth 1000, the iconic Mini Cooper S, the pithy Alfa Romeo GTA, the powerful BMW 2002, the edgy 3.0 CSL, the sleek Ford Escort and Capri and, at the top end, various majestic Jaguar models and the immortal Porsche 911.

The Histo Cup Historic (FIA Appendix K) not only brings genuine classics back to the track, but also revives the authentic racing atmosphere of days gone by. The historic touring and GT racers are in their original condition – stripped of aerodynamic gimmicks and modern updates.

Hard Facts:

  • The FIA Appendix K category covers historic touring cars and GT vehicles built no later than 1990
  • The vehicles are characterised by their true-to-original condition (i.e. no modern upgrades or aerodynamic fixtures), which results in authentic racing conditions
