Have you already secured your ticket for the first highlight of the season at the Red Bull Ring? If not, then don’t leave it any longer. Because the Red Bull Ring Classics (weekend of 7th – 9th June) is a must-attend event for fans of historic motorsport.
Seven legendary racing series will unleash the elemental forces of motorsport history and cause the Spielberg grandstands to quake.
This will be weekend in a class of its own. And not only for connoisseurs of historic racing cars, but also for fans of blockbuster movies such as ‘Gone in 60 Seconds’ or ‘Fast & Furious’. The Red Bull Ring Classics is a unique opportunity to see the automotive stars of Hollywood up close.
1967 FORD MUSTANG ELEANOR
Although ‘Gone in 60 seconds’ features megastars Nicolas Cage and Angelina Jolie, it’s Eleanor who really steals the show. Of the eleven hero cars originally produced for the film, only three are still in existence today.
To qualify for hero car status, a vehicle must be fully functional and have made an appearance in the film with the main characters seen in close-up sitting inside. One of the coveted Eleanor hero cars will be on display in the vehicle exhibition in the Fan Zone of the Red Bull Ring Classics.
1969 DODGE CHARGER R/T “GENERAL LEE” MOVIE-CAR
Painted bright orange, with Confederate flag on the roof and starting number one on the doors, the 1969 Dodge Charger was the secret star of ‘The Dukes of Hazzard’. During the production of the long-running TV series, it is claimed that around 300 General Lee Dodge Charger cars were destroyed in staging the daring stunts.
One of the survivors – driven by all the Dukes of Hazzard actors in its time – will also be on display in the vehicle exhibition.
Ticket holders are in for an unforgettable weekend, with free access to all open grandstands, paddock and the Pit Lane Walk*. You can rub shoulders with the team members, inspect the cars up close and chat to the driving legends of yesteryear.
Day tickets are available in advance for €35, weekend tickets for €50. Tickets are heavily discounted for children.
* Entry to the Pit Lane Walk is on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
