The MotoGP riders are ready for the “Spielberg adventure” – and how about you? We recommend drawing up a checklist and check whether you have everything with you before you set off.
Checklist:
To make sure your journey to the Red Bull Ring is as stress-free as possible, we recommend that you start planning it well in advance. The most relaxing, affordable and environmentally friendly way to get there is by bus, train or bicycle. A traffic guidance system along the access roads will make it easier for you to get to the parking spaces, which are free of charge for MotoGP visitors. Make a note of the number displayed at the entrance to each car park so that you can find your way back easily in the evening.
Tip: The biker cloakrooms (P4) are ideal for dropping off your motorcycle clothing. You can also drop off larger bags that are not allowed at the grandstands. The fee is 15 euros per day or 35 euros for the entire weekend.
If you are a wheelchair user who has purchased a ticket for the grandstand Start Ziel, then you will have received a parking permit with your ticket. This allows you to drive up to the handicap parking lot opposite the Welcome Center. Here you will find also an Info Point, where trained staff will be on hand to answer any questions, you may have. The grandstand Start Ziel is equipped with a wheelchair ramp and toilets on the same level. If you have purchased a standard discounted ‘Handicap Ticket’, parking spaces for the disabled are available in all signposted parking spaces.
If you are camping at the site, it is recommended that you arrive on Wednesday or Thursday. If you arrive later, delays and diversions are to be expected. To help you find your way around the site, download the free Red Bull Ring App onto your mobile phone now and derive all the benefits of the interactive map. This will assist you in finding the quickest way to your desired destination.
As holder of a weekend ticket, your MotoGP party starts on Thursday. Admission for the Pit Lane Walk is from 14:00 at the start finish grandstand (sectors K-A), and it starts at 16:20. You will be called sector by sector to the pit lane walk, so please arrive on time and pay attention to the ongoing announcements of the loudspeaker. The pit lane is open for the Pit Lane Walk until 17:40, giving you plenty of time to take a look into the sanctum of the MotoGP teams.
Did you know that the 1st “MopedGP of Austria” will take place on Thursday? From 14:45 hundreds of participants will be on their mopeds on the race track. Of course you can watch the spectacle from one of the open grandstands.
Having the right gear to wear is an important part of going to the Grand Prix. At the merchandise stores in the MotoGP Bike City (behind the Niki Lauda Turn), you can get yourself decked out in the latest fashion accessories from the MotoGP riders. All ticket holders have access to the MotoGP Bike City. If you’re looking for that special souvenir, a ‘pit stop’ at the Red Bull Ring Fan Shop is a must. It’s only here that you can buy the exclusive Red Bull Ring collection.
While from Friday the gladiators of the inclined position will be performing captivating maneuvers at the limits of physics on the track, things are no less spectacular off the track. Numerous highlights await you in the MotoGP Bike City, the side event stronghold at the Spielberg. Look forward to spectacular stunts at the Red Bull Masters of Dirt FMX Shows, impressive stuntshows by Adrian Guggemos on his trial bike and great DJ and music acts on the event stage. “Meet the Riders” also takes place here from Thursday to Saturday – one of many programme items that enable you to experience the riders of the world championship up close.
