The engines may have fallen silent and the racing teams packed up and gone home, but that doesn’t mean that the Red Bull Ring has gone into hibernation. On the contrary: It’s now your turn to make tracks in the Spielberg snow! Less grip means more fun – and that’s exactly what makes Winter at the Ring so special.
What’s it to be – snowmobile, off-road buggy, KTM X-Bow or Porsche 718 Cayman S? Can’t decide between what’s on offer? No problem! Just try them all out. The ultimate all-round adrenaline package awaits you at Winter Adrenaline Day on 12th January 2025. Have we piqued your interest?
Winter am Ring will appeal not only to drift fans, but also to the more responsible motorists who prefer to avoid skidding and want to learn how to keep their vehicle under control in wintry conditions. Whether free drifting in your own vehicle or Driver Winter Training, it’s an enjoyable challenge with positive learning outcomes.
Red Bull Ring instructor and ex-F1 driver Patrick Friesacher explains: “In the dry, the cars have more traction and grip. The car sticks to the tarmac. The better grip makes driving correspondingly easier. On snow, drivers have to handle their cars much more sensitively.”
From 7th December 2024 until 23rd February 2025, the snow-covered paddock of the Red Bull Ring will be open to two-wheelers as well as four. The KTM Enduro Snow Attack is an opportunity to compete against other enduro enthusiasts on your own bike or one hired from us. The race takes place on a prepared snow surface in the paddock.
Our indoor track in the garages of the Red Bull Ring pit lane will also be open for enduro riders. It occupies the same space where the team mechanics were working on the bikes of the MotoGP contestants, including newly crowned world champion Jorge Martin, in the summer. The circuit is suitable for amateurs as well as ambitious enduro riders.
Hard enduro pro Michael Walkner has already tested the circuit. His verdict: “The indoor course is a real asset. There are some really cool obstacles to overcome.” You can, of course, also use the facility for training on a trial bike. As in previous years, we will be staging the GASGAS Winter Trial Trophy.
