At the Red Bull Ring, we go to great lengths to act responsibly. We ensure the careful handling of goods all year round. However, for major events like the Formula 1 and MotoGP it is virtually impossible to avoid having excess food.
We have been collaborating with Caritas since 2022 to ensure that food that is still edible doesn’t end up in the bin and instead benefits the people who need it. Numerous volunteers see to it that this works seamlessly. During the F1 and MotoGP weekends, they handle the collection, packaging and loading of the food.
Thanks to this collaboration, around 2.5 tonnes of food is collected at both event weekends.
