The Red Bull Ring has taken another step towards sustainability. In November 2023, work began on the construction of a biomass heating plant at Spielberg to further enhance the racing circuit’s environmental credentials. The new biomass heating plant consists of a boiler room and a wood chip store.
Three biomass boilers, which combust wood chips produced on site, now generate the majority of the heat required at the Red Bull Ring.
