Details of the route:

The first few kilometres you will run on the actual race track in a clockwise direction. From the home straight, the route leads into the Niki Lauda Turn and uphill through the Münzer Turn towards T3. When you reach the Schönberg straight, you have an opportunity to catch your breath. The route then proceeds downhill through Turns 4, 5, 6 and 7. If you are already familiar with the layout of the Red Bull Ring, you will know that the track takes a slight uphill turn into the Jochen Rindt Turn.

If you are still in the race or have not been overtaken by the catcher car, you can not only be very proud of yourself, but also proceed to the next stage (Round II) which takes you off the race track. You will leave the Grand Prix circuit at Turn 10, heading past the Welcome Center and across the Kart Track to the West Loop. On the outside, along the Schönberg straight, the route leads past the T4 grandstand and through the wooded area down to T9 and T10

Important information:

  • The route is suitable for wheelchair users. For more difficult climbs, it is advisable to request assistance on site.
  • Better to start slowly: The Wings for Life World Run App Run is definitely not won (for you) in the first few kilometres, but by how well you finish.
  • There are two refreshment stations along the route where you will be provided with water, Red Bull and bananas. The Wing Café and Bull’s Lane will also be open on the day. Here, you can fortify yourself before and after the event.
